PHILADELPHIA, PA — A mass shooting in the Grays Ferry neighborhood has left three people dead and at least 13 shot, according to police sources.
The incident occurred along the 1200 block of South Etting Street late Sunday evening and marks the latest in a series of mass shootings in Philadelphia.
Philadelphia Police confirmed that multiple victims were transported to area hospitals — some by private vehicles — as the number of shooting victims continued to rise.
Authorities described the situation as involving a “double-digit number of victims,” with three fatalities confirmed so far.
This is the second mass shooting in Philadelphia in just two days. On Saturday, eight people were shot in a separate incident.
It is also the city’s third mass shooting since Memorial Day, when two people were killed and 11 others injured during gunfire at Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park.
A heavy police presence remains in the Grays Ferry area as investigators search for evidence and potential suspects.
No arrests have been announced, and the motive remains under investigation.
Residents are urged to contact the Philadelphia Police Department or submit tips anonymously by calling 215-686-TIPS.
Authorities continue to ask for the public’s cooperation as they work to piece together the events surrounding this latest act of gun violence.
