Three Dead, Including Child, in Hattiesburg Case Under Investigation

HATTIESBURG MISSISSIPPI, Authorities in Hattiesburg are investigating a tragic domestic incident after three people were found deceased following a welfare check earlier this week.
Police responded Tuesday afternoon to a residence on the 500 block of Seventh Avenue, where officers discovered the bodies of two adults and a young child, according to the Hattiesburg Police Department.
Officials said the deaths are being treated as an isolated incident, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Autopsy results later determined the manner of death for those involved, and investigators believe the case is consistent with a domestic-related incident. No motive has been released at this time.
Authorities continue reviewing the circumstances surrounding the case and have not provided further details out of respect for the family.
