KANSAS CITY MISSOURI, authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon on Interstate 670, resulting in the death of one woman and injuries to two others.
According to fire officials, the collision took place in the eastbound lanes of I-670 near the Genessee area.
Preliminary reports indicate that an SUV collided with the rear of a large dump truck under circumstances that are still being investigated.
Emergency responders arrived at the scene and located multiple occupants inside the SUV.
Two individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment, while a third occupant was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as Teresa Ashley.
Officials have not yet released additional information regarding the conditions of the injured passengers.
